CHAPTER 28

Keisha was furious. She had been calling Carter for an hour, and he didn’t answer. She had begun to worry. It wasn’t like him not to call and check up on her. She was wondering if he make it okay. This had bothered her. Pree had noticed the frustration on Keisha's face.

“Is everything okay?” She asked.

“Yea I'm fine, just a little worried I haven’t heard from Carter since he left this morning for his trip. I hope he's okay.”

“He probably just busy and can’t answer the phone at the moment. He'll call you, Kish, don’t sweat it.”

“Yea probably right, I'm just in my feelings that’s all.”

Tauk got dressed in a tight fitted leopard print dress with a pair of all black stilettos that zipped up in the back. Her hair flat ironed to perfection and the diamond earrings glistened, she put a gold elephant necklace and bracelet set with the matching ring. She put on her gold tennis anklet on the right leg. For some reason, Tauk felt like she had to dress to impress. Carter was way different from any nigga she went out with, and he wasn’t the average. He was better. He was a boss, and to be on his arm, you had to be a boss bitch. Appearance was everything to Tauk. She didn’t wanna half step. She knew everything about this date was all wrong, but she kept telling herself it was only dinner, but temptation was telling her another thing. She wanted to be the center of his attention. Tauk told herself that this dinner date was the furthest it will go.

Tauk called Carter and told him she would meet him at the hotel. When Tauk arrived Carter was already there waiting. When Carter saw the cab pull in, he walked over and opened the back door to let Tauk out. He reached for her hand. Tauk was amazed because niggas always gave her the utmost respect.

“Thank you,” Tauk said in the sexiest voice Carter had heard in a long time.

“You welcome, and if I could say, you look fine as hell. You wearing that dress, ma.”

“Thanks,” Tauk replied.

He walked behind just to watch that ass. Damn, this girl fine, he told himself as he opened the passenger door to help her in. As Carter walked around the truck, his phone rang. He looked at the caller id and saw it was Keisha.

“What’s up sexy.”

“Nothing. I was checking on you. You had me worried. I haven’t heard from you since this morning.”

“I’m sorry baby. I’ve been busy,” he lied. “When I get back to my suite, I’ll call you before I go to bed.”

“Okay,” Keisha said. “I love you.”

“I love you too, ma.”

Keisha felt as ease knowing he was okay, now she could finish off her night with Pree before heading home.

Tauk sat and looked in the rearview mirror as Carter talked on the phone. He is cute, she thought, and a charmer with them chingy eyes, or maybe he just high. Carter interrupted her thought when he opened the truck door.
